Ume Dogs is the latest venture by chef Kerby Craig and Ume Burger collaborator Jo "Chewba" Siahaan.

Following the runaway success of Sydney institution Ume Burger and the award-winning Bar Ume, Craig plans to grow the Ume brand with the addition of Japanese hot dogs to his portfolio.

"Ume Dogs has been a part of the plan from the beginning" states the hatted chef, "ever since living in Canada and seeing Japadog go from a small local food stand to multiple locations across the west coast of he U.S. I could see the potential of these style of dogs right here in the Australian market.

Since that time Craig and Siahaan have had the chance to develop their own hot dog creations, based fundamentally on the exceptionally good smallgoods and bread Australia has to offer. Combine this with the winning array of Japanese-inspired side dishes and sauces the pair have developed during their time with Ume and you've got an exciting recipe for success.
